Before becoming a PM, I spent several years as a Recruiter hiring Product Managers globally. I have hired PMs for both Meta and Spotify across London, New York, the Bay Area, Stockholm, Singapore, Zurich, and Tel Aviv. I evaluated hundreds of PM candidates and saw firsthand what differentiates strong candidates from those who consistently fall short. In 2023, I transitioned into Product Management myself through a Rotational Product Manager program. Since then, I have built products used by millions of people across multiple domains. Having hired PMs and now being one gives me a unique perspective. I understand how PM candidates are evaluated, what interviewers are actually listening for, and how real product work differs from interview prep theory. I also took a non-traditional path into Product Management. I do not have a university degree, and my career has been shaped by learning on the job, building real skills, and focusing on signal over credentials. This experience strongly influences how I coach candidates, especially those who feel blocked by background, pedigree, or self-imposed ceilings that do not actually matter in practice.
