Daniel G. Rego (Dan) is a technology executive, social entrepreneur, angel investor, film producer, and thought leader in the nexus of Education, Technology, Privacy and Cybersecurity. Dan leverages innovation and technology to solve some of society’s most pressing matters. He has founded startups, non-profits, and advised some of the world's leading institutions on how to brave this new century. Some of his past and current clients include the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Morgan Stanley, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, World Bank, University of Maryland Global Campus, the Organization of American States (OAS), Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), Amazon.com, among others. Dan is also an angel investor in several promising startups. His philosophy is to be a value-add active investor, proactively helping the invested portfolio into reaching their financial goals while contributing to ESG goals. Current portfolio of investments include Gryphon (Cybersecurity), Alwork (Workstation furniture), Delee Corp (Cancer research), Assak (Lending platform in Africa), Fluent Forever (language learning app), nav.it (mobile banking platform), Unbanked ( a global neo bank platform built on blockchain); and Champion Lender (a total home buying/refinancing solution that reduces denials in underwriting). Dan is also a board member and interim CIO and CMO at Women Palante, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization based in DC. He is also a board member of the Buckingham Civic Association and he was formerly an officer at the Virginia National Guard VDF Cyber Detachment.
