March 2022 heralded the onset of a new and exciting phase in my professional journey when I transitioned after my three decades plus experience in uniform to a niche and emerging vertical at Mahindra Logistics Ltd (MLL). Build-to-Suit (BTS) Warehousing, is truly coming of age in the Indian SCM hemisphere and I consider myself extremely fortunate to steer this segment from the ground up and lead a team of experienced professionals in our endeavor to build a multi-client BTS vertical. The proposed expansion of ~6 million square feet (MSFT) targeted for 2026 is integral to MLL’s goal to be an INR 10,000 Cr Logistics Service Provider by FY 2026. Post completing this unique assignment, in my next role as Cluster Head (North India) for MLL's Auto & Farms Division, where MLL oversees the entire 3PL ecosystem for Mahindra & Mahindra plants at Haridwar and Rudrapur in the state of Uttrakhand – I led a two teams of +150 personnel. Apart from being responsible for the P&L of each location, I was also entrusted to seek new business opportunities in North India from within the M&M group companies. In my three decades of rich and diverse experience in the Indian Army, serving in VUCA environments, ensuring seamless continuity in operations & and contributing to building strong logistics capabilities have been my forte. My focused learnings in the fields of BCM and Risk Management were also actively sought in the domain of Continuity of Military Operations (Operational Logistics) My moments of pride in the Indian Army : >Championed automated logistical deliverables for the Army's largest Food and Fuel Distribution Centre. >Successfully turned around a vital heavy transport lift fleet organization headed towards premature closure due to irregularities. I am supremely proud to be the very first Indian Defence Forces officer to qualify as a Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) from RIMS-USA, where today I also serve as a member of its Regional Advisory Board for SE Asia in an honorary capacity. Additionally, I hold the highest qualification offered by BCI, UK - MBCI. An MBA alumnus from Osmania University, I am also qualified for ISO31000:2018 including ISO/IEC 27001:2013 & ISO 22301:2019 from TUV-SUD. Additionally, I have been fortunate to attend 4 focused MDPs at IIMs.
