Hi, I'm Sankalp. I'm a backend heavy full stack engineer who likes building systems that hold up when things get messy. Right now I'm a Senior Backend Engineer at GitLab, working on rate limiting inside tenant controls. Those are the guardrails that keep shared infrastructure standing now that coding agents send far more traffic than the people behind them. Before this I spent four years at HackerRank on core platform work, including cloud IDEs, code execution systems and the infrastructure behind assessments used by over 20 million developers. I have also been contributing to OpenWISP since 2020, first as a GSoC student and later as a mentor. Day to day I work mostly with Python, Ruby, Go, Kubernetes and the cloud plumbing that holds everything together.
