It all began with a screwdriver and an old cassette player. As a teenager, I was fascinated by machines—how they worked, why they failed, and what made them tick. This curiosity led me to study Production Engineering, and later, a Master’s in Integrated Manufacturing Systems at NC State University. At John Deere, I got my first taste of product design and reverse engineering, where I learned that every great product isn’t just built—it’s optimized, refined, and reimagined. Returning to India, I took on a challenge few would dare—scaling a family-run manufacturing business from the ground up. From setting up a factory layout to tripling productivity in just two years, I was at the heart of it all. Sales grew by 40%, but more than that, I learned the art of balancing processes, people, and technology. However, growth came with its own set of challenges: 🔹 People resisted change—technology adoption was slow. 🔹 Supply chains were unpredictable, demanding agility and negotiation skills. 🔹 Scaling was difficult without structured systems and processes. That’s when I realized—manufacturing isn’t just about machines. It’s about people, strategy, and transformation. After over a decade of leading the family business, I chose the hard path—reinvention. I moved beyond operations into business strategy and transformation, joining Amar Equipment as a Business Consultant. Here, I: ✅ Assisted in setting up processes and systems across all functions, laying the groundwork for long-term efficiency. ✅ Collaborated on new product development, exploring innovations in biomedical and micro-manufacturing. ✅ Worked cross-functionally to enable digital adoption and scalable business processes. More than just optimizing systems, I was enabling a culture of efficiency, innovation, and long-term scalability. While I had transformed businesses from the inside, I knew the next step was to broaden my strategic expertise globally. To do that, I decided to pursue an Executive MBA at IIM Calcutta, where I am now sharpening my leadership, financial, and operational strategy skills.
