There’s not really a more jarring travel experience in life than spending two weeks travelling in Morocco. But I had apparently decided to leave the world’s most pristine, orderly, (pretty) safe place (my home) to travel to a place that was anticipatingly not those three adjectives, and there I suddenly was, standing in the Atlantic coast of Morocco’s biggest city, Casablanca (the name sounds sexy, right?).
Most of Africa is poorer than most of the western world. It doesn't matter what nation you speak of. Ghana and Nigeria have a crappy power grid. If the lights are on it's probably because they are running their motors. Every other nation is worse off than that. South Africa seems to constantly be having the same race war as the US. The only value Africa has is not the people, given that much of the poverty in Africa today has been proven to be orchestrated by the Western nations. When corrupt African leaders steal money, where do they bank it? In vaults or sands or the emerald and sapphire mines found in abundance in Congo? How much of such money is still powering Western economies today? We would never know. So, hop on, catch up with me if you want to travel to an Atlantic paradise that even Instagram hasn't fully discovered yet.
