About me

In the realm of User Experience, where empathy intersects with innovation, I've carved a niche that transcends traditional design boundaries. My journey, spanning over a decade, is a testament to the power of empathy-driven design in creating inclusive and meaningful experiences. With a foundation in Psychology (B.A., Eastern University), design education at Creative Circus, enhanced by the Theological Studies Masters Program (M.T.S., Duke University), my approach is deeply rooted in understanding human behavior and societal impacts. As a seasoned UX/UI & Product Consultant, I've had the privilege of collaborating with high-profile brands like the United Nations, ViacomCBS, and GSK, leading projects that not only meet but exceed user expectations. My tenure at previous consulting firms saw a boost in user engagement by 20%, a feat achieved through meticulous UX audits, user research, and a Salesforce UX initiative that aligned with strategic business goals. My role at Duke University as a Researcher & UX Consultant allowed me to delve into empathy in tech and media, significantly improving student engagement and tourist attraction for Duke Chapel. I was also the Artist-in-Residence at Duke's Pratt Engineering school, where my forward-thinking work earned accolades. At Bluewolf, an IBM Company, I directed and mentored teams on a global scale, orchestrating over 50 Salesforce implementations that doubled expected revenue and maintained a perfect client satisfaction score. My human-centered, data-driven methodology was pivotal in their acquisition decision and presence within the industry, being one of 2 designers having work showcased at Dreamforce 2011, 2012, and 2013. My toolkit is vast, with proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and a keen interest in expanding my knowledge in Python, TensorFlow, and Framer. I'm certified in Machine Learning with Python and am currently pursuing a certification in Azure AI. I've shared my insights on empathy and technology at various platforms, including SXSW, Kansas City Rails Conference, and more, advocating for a design ethos that prioritizes human needs and experiences. As I look towards the future, my goal is to join a team where I can continue to leverage my unique blend of skills and experiences to drive innovation in UX research. I'm eager to contribute to projects that not only challenge me professionally but also contribute to the broader conversation about the role of empathy in technology. Let's connect and explore how we can create impactful, user-centered designs together.
