With over 15 years of experience in category management, Strategic Sourcing, and Project Management, I am Global Category Lead at Bechtel Corporation, one of the world's largest Engineering, Construction, and Project management companies. I have an MBA degree in Operations management and B.E. (hons.) in Electrical and Electronics engineering. My core competencies include making Sourcing strategies for LNG, Metal and Mining, and Infrastructure projects for the Electrical category, Sourcing Electrical equipment for EHV AIS and HVDC Substations and EHV Transmission lines, and Delivering EHV substation EPC projects for clients like PGCIL and NTPC. I have successfully handled procurement for many Solar Capex and Opex projects, MEP contracts of Cell and Module manufacturing plants and multi billion $ worth of Oil & Gas and Semiconductor EPC projects. I have supported Estimation teams in cost optimization and inventing winning strategies for the company. I have led a team of buyers, managed KPIs, and resolved supplier disputes. I am also very much conversant with the new tools like SAP, Ariba, Power-BI, Tableau, DSCS and OSCAR. My field of expertise is Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and my experience domain spreads across EHV Transmission and Distribution projects up to 765KV, +-800KV HVDC Projects, Renewable energy projects up to 300 MW and Oil & Gas and Semiconductor mega projects.
