Suraj is a Chartered Accountant with 7+ years of experience into Auditing, Financial Analysis, Startup Advisory, Project Finance and Project Management with MNCs, Private Companies and Government Organizations. He Co-Founded Vruksh Ecosystem Foundation with a primary aim of building the right Startup Ecosystem in tier-II and tier-II cities of India and bridging the gap that exists. He also founded Fseed Consulting, a financial advisory firm with a goal of providing impactful financial, tax and business consulting services. Suraj started his career with a CA firm in Mumbai, he spent 3 years with the firm and worked into Audit, Accounting Finalization and Tax Advisory. His second stint was with a boutique financial consultancy firm where he was involved in fund raising (debt) for MSMEs and Startups. Post qualifying CA, Suraj joined Ernst & Young Assurance practice where he was involved in Statutory Audit of US based Mutual Funds and Indian Manufacturing sector. The work involved compliance of GAAP, Companies Act, ICFR, Controls Testing along with various other analytical procedures. After having an experience with a Big 4, he chose to make an impact at ground level. Suraj was selected as a Fellow with Tata Trusts & Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation to consult GOI on Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) - the biggest sanitation program in the world. He directly worked directly District Collector/Magistrate (IAS) for planning and effective implementation of SBM. During the fellowship he got the opportunity to manage Hon'ble Prime Minister's event in Delhi along with Secretary and Jt. Secretary, Government of India. Also during this period, Suraj was given a unique task of financial reconciliation for a total budget of 40 billion released by central and state government. He visited more than 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh and presented the financial status report village wise to District Collectors. After Swachh Bharat, he plunged onto his entrepreneurial journey with Vruksh Ecosystem & Fseed Consulting. In the last 2 years, he has been a jury member of multiple startup pitch events and speaker on financial matters at some of national level college events.
