The Resume Checklist with Zeel Desai

Applying everywhere and not hearing back? Most of the time the problem isn't your experience. It's how your resume is built and written.

This checklist takes you through 8 checks in the order your resume actually gets read. You score yourself as you go and finish with a number out of 100. You'll know exactly what's pulling it down and which order to fix things in.

Score again after every edit and watch the number go up. It's in plain English, with no jargon.

FAQs

• Is this a resume template? No. It shows you what a safe template looks like, but it's a checklist for fixing the resume you already have.
• I don't know what ATS means. Is that a problem? Not at all. Every term is explained in plain words the first time it comes up.
• I have a few years of experience. Will this still help? Yes. Section order, bullets and tailoring change with your experience level, and the checklist covers each stage, including switching fields.
