Brianna E. Gurrell (Plowright) is a Supply Chain PM at Microsoft and a graduate of Howard University's School of Business where she majored in Supply Chain Management. A Jamaican national, Brianna developed a deep passion for supply chain and retail as the co-founder of, 'TropicSoles Jamaica' which has been featured in the Jamaican Gleaner and gained support from various Jamaican Influencers. Upon enrollment at Howard University, Brianna encountered financial and social challenges especially since she was an International Student. Ultimately, she persevered and completed her studies Summa Cum Laude (Top 1% of the Graduating Class of 2020) with work experience at numerous Fortune 500 companies and job offers from Big Four Consulting, Accounting and Tech Firms. Her current team at Microsoft focuses on planning, sourcing, deploying and delivering the hardware infrastructure for Microsoft Datacenters with her role requiring expertise in financial planning for Long Lead components and Capital Expenditure program management. Brianna continues to have an unwavering passion for the retail supply chain industry and hopes to one day leverage her entrepreneurial capabilities and sourcing strategies to empower underrepresented groups around the world.
