I started my journey as a BA (Prog.) graduate from Delhi University, confused about careers, intimidated by jargon, and unaware of how the corporate world really works. I didn’t know what roles existed or how to enter the workforce and earn for myself. To gain clarity, I pursued an MBA at IMT Hyderabad, earning a scholarship along the way. During my MBA, I discovered my interest in finance, strategy, operations, and people management. Over time, maths stopped being intimidating, statistics became useful, and jargon started making sense. The journey from humanities to finance has been quite a ride. I currently work at FactSet as a Senior Team Lead and have cleared CFA Level I and FRM Part I, taking the journey one concept, one page at a time. I have decided to mentor students and early professionals who feel stuck, confused, or directionless by offering honest guidance on finance careers, exams, MBA decisions, and early-career planning.
