Currently, Bhavesh Birla is working as an Associate in Macquarie team investing across digital infrastructure and energy transition sectors. In the past, he has worked at EverSource Capital (part of EverStone Group) which manages India's largest green energy focused fund. He was involved in analysing investments across clean energy, urban infrastructure management and energy efficiencies. Prior to this, he was employed with Adani Finserve Private limited, involved in end to end deal execution of M&A and corporate finance transactions for Adani group across sectors. He has worked on marquee transactions in the infrastructure and energy space in India like Mumbai distribution business acquisition, IBC processes and also raising strategic financing from sovereign funds. Prior to this, he worked in Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in Bangalore Office as a quantitative strategist. He was a part of the team responsible for modeling the FED mandated stress tests for the IBD Division. He has completed his PGP from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, focussing mainly on finance and quants. He is also a CSE undergraduate from National Institute of Technology, Nagpur.
