I’m Bharath—a passionate explorer of the data universe who thrives on turning raw numbers into meaningful stories. My journey began in mechanical engineering but took an exciting turn when I discovered the power of data science. Now pursuing my Master’s degree at the University of Arizona with a perfect 4.0 GPA, I dive deep into machine learning and natural language processing every day. During my time as a Data Science Intern at Mayo Clinic, I had the incredible opportunity to create medspacyV—a user-friendly graphical tool that cut down setup time for clinical NLP pipelines by 60%. This project not only improved workflow efficiency but also made it easier for non-programmers to engage with complex data analysis. It was rewarding to see how my work could directly impact patient care through faster deployment and analysis of records. Before this role, I honed my skills as a Data Engineer at HSBC where I developed robust ETL pipelines using Python’s Pandas and Numpy libraries. Successfully migrating 100% of our data from Mainframe to Google Cloud was no small feat! Each challenge taught me more about the intricacies of data management and reinforced my love for problem-solving. In addition to my technical work, I enjoy sharing knowledge as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for an Artificial Intelligence course at the University of Arizona. Leading weekly discussions has not only sharpened my understanding but also allowed me to connect with students who share my enthusiasm for technology.
