Hi, I'm a Public Policy Professional based out of New Delhi, currently working at the Indian Parliament as part of the LAMP Fellowship (Legislative Assistant to a Member of Parliament). In the past year, I have gained experience from "Sadak to Sansad", working as a Political Fellow and later as a Legislative Assistant to a Member of Parliament. The former showed me the aspirations, thought processes, and struggles of the common man, while the legislative lens exposed how lawmakers fulfil these within the government structure. I am skilled in communications, strategy, policy design, research, and public affairs. My educational expertise is in commerce and economics, which gives me an edge in solving quantitative problems. As a Legislative aide, I worked with the 3-term Member of Parliament, who was also the presiding chairperson of the Estimates Committee of the Indian Parliament. I had the opportunity to work directly in the Estimates Committee, providing access to scrutinize, check efficiency, and suggest administrative reforms for flagship schemes covering various issues from education to the environment. In the past, I was part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, which has critically developed my skills to take innovative initiatives responsibly under pressure. I had the experience of starting up my own venture, houseittdotin, which was a student-centric property search platform that helps connect with the best brokers and house owners. After a good 1.5 experience, the initiative got acquired due to uncertainties emerged during Covid-19. Thereafter, I involved myself with Quollab (an upskilling platform for college freshers to make them job-ready) and Stagedotin (A Netflix for regional languages) before I was able to decide that I want to contribute my time in solving the basic problems of the country.
