I’m a serial entrepreneur having built 2 successful businesses in the past. I started my first online business when I was 16 in 2006. During my school years, I played football for my state, debated for my school, collected 25+ medals in athletic events and was awarded Top 0.1% merit certificate from CBSE. I went on to pursue Economics (H) degree in Delhi University and graduated in 2011. In 2018, I started Swmabhan Commerce Private Limited that would focus on creating digitally native vertical brands in large untapped markets in FMCG sector with a vision to create a Rs. 500 Cr ARR company by 2025. The company closed its last round of 10 Mn USD funding in 2023 led by VC firm Sixth Sense Ventures and leading FOs. Earlier, it had raised capital from Ace Cricketer Virat Kohli, 9 Unicorns Venture Capital Fund, Refex Capital with participation from Keiretsu Forum, and a clutch of other prominent strategic investors. Earlier, I started PosterGully in 2012, which was an online consumer brand for millennials to shop clothing, wall decor & affordable art. I bootstrapped the company with cost efficient metrics and profitability, building a well known brand within its target market reaching 15 Mn unique visitors in 2015. I exited the company in 2016 to the promoters of the ABEC group - which is India’s largest exhibition group. Later that year, I started an online B2B e-commerce marketplace - iDecorama connecting interior designers & architects with brands where industry professionals could discover and shop for unique products. In total, throughout the journey from PosterGully to iDecorama, we raised over 5 Cr INR in investments clocking ~7x revenue and remained profitable for the largest part. My core skills include brand building, e-commerce, digital marketing, supply chain management, retail & distribution, online community building, integration of ops & tech & team building. As an entrepreneur, I'm searching for significance. My goal is to be able to create a company that leaps ahead for generations to come with or without me.
