Hello 👋🏾, I head Marketing & Communications for Mesirat, a project co-created by the Mastercard Foundation and tech startup Gebeya Inc. to accelerate Ethiopia’s gig economy. I believe our stories are our superpower. My storytelling journey began with writing short children’s mysteries at the age of 5; and my passion has carried me to live and work in Africa, Europe, and North America. I deeply value ongoing personal development, and am active in mentorship programs, including: Women in Marketing, Female Founders, and Northwestern University’s Affinity Leaders & Learners program. I love to share my work experience insights with young women early in their career journeys. Outside of work, you can find me: marathon cooking while devouring audiobooks (21 this year, so far), hiking, practicing yoga, taking Amharic lessons, listening to true crime podcasts, mentoring and getting mentored.
