Hi, I’m Ayush Amodkar. I am currently pursuing the Master in Management (MiM) at ESSEC Business School, after completing my B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from IIIT Surat. My journey has taken me from engineering and technology to consulting, finance, and business — a transition that I navigated largely through my own experience. I graduated from IIIT Surat with a CGPA of 8.29, where I developed an interest in business, economics, entrepreneurship, and management alongside my engineering background. During college, I gained professional exposure through internships at IIIT Hyderabad and L&T Electrical & Automation. After graduating, I worked for nearly two years at Deloitte USI as an Analyst in Software Consulting, working with international clients and cross-functional teams. The experience gave me exposure to solving real business problems and helped me realise that I wanted to move beyond a purely technical career and build stronger expertise in business, strategy, and finance. My interest in finance led me to pursue the CFA program, and I cleared CFA Level I in 2025. I also appeared for the CAT, which gave me an early understanding of the competitive business school admissions process in India before I eventually explored opportunities in Europe. I recently went through the European business school application process myself, from school selection and applications to essays, interviews, and finally joining ESSEC. This experience taught me the importance of having a clear career narrative and positioning your profile effectively beyond just grades and test scores. Through my sessions, I help students with: -MiM school selection and application strategy -Profile evaluation and positioning -CV, SOP, and essay reviews -Building a strong career narrative -MiM interview preparation and mock interviews -Transitioning from engineering/technology into business, finance, or consulting -Understanding the European business school application process -Practical guidance on studying and living in France My aim is to share the practical lessons from my own journey and help applicants approach their applications with greater clarity, stronger positioning, and fewer avoidable mistakes.
