I'm a Senior Data & AI Architect and a Practice Leader with more than two decades of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data and AI platforms for organizations across the globe — spanning both cloud-native and on-premise, air-gapped environments. Currently, I work as Chief Data & AI Architect at IBM Consulting, where I lead architecture strategy for large data and AI transformation engagements. Before this, I led a Data & AI Centre of Excellence at TCS and Cognizant Technology Solutions, working across cloud data platforms, lakehouse architectures, and Generative & Agentic AI solutions. My work spans the full spectrum of enterprise AI deployment — from cloud-based generative and agentic AI platforms to secure, air-gapped on-premise solutions for organizations where data sovereignty, compliance, and network isolation are non-negotiable. This includes designing Model-as-a-Service architectures for regulated, high-security environments, as well as cloud-first implementations built for scale and speed. I'm also a published technical author, writing a series of books on evolving data and AI architecture — aimed at helping practitioners and leaders navigate the shift from traditional data platforms to GenAI and agentic systems. Alongside this, I write The Architecture Notebook (architectblueprint.blogspot.com), a technical blog where I share real-world architectural patterns, agentic AI implementations, and lessons from enterprise data and AI transformation across industries. Beyond client and enterprise work, I've independently designed and built a flagship Small Language Model (SLM) from the ground up — a proprietary, on-premise solution built for document-heavy, analytics driven structured-output use cases where data privacy and control matter. This is fully my own intellectual property, reflecting my hands-on depth in model architecture, not just platform-level strategy. I bring together architecture leadership, technical authorship, and independent AI R&D — with a consistent focus on making data and AI systems that are scalable, trustworthy, and genuinely usable.
