I went to the session with a head full of confusion and came out feeling excited because of the great insights and advice shared by Avantika. She gave me a detailed introduction to the development sector and shared her expertise about anything I was curious to learn more about. She also shared career paths and organisations that I could explore based on my background and interest.
Although there were multiple network issues from my end, she was really patient and even extended the call to share her knowledge, actionable tips, and advice on how to thrive in the field once I start. After the session, she also took the time to share a list of resources that would be helpful to me based on our session.
Overall, I loved the session and am really glad that I got the opportunity to connect with her.

About me
I bring seven years of experience with governments, global nonprofits and multilaterals in public sector, education and health. I'm passionate about coaching professionals looking to pivot and/or grow in the social impact space.
A bit about myself: I belong to a small village in Himachal Pradesh in India. Growing up, I saw education play a key role in bringing opportunity to young women in my community. This inspired me to join the Teach for India fellowship that shaped my career in education policy.
I'm currently based out of London. In the past I've worked at an International education non profit called Teach for All. I was an Innovation Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School's Government Performance Lab. I've also worked closely with the chief of education at the UNICEF.
Prior to this, I worked at Samagra, an Indian public sector consulting firm. I hold a Masters in Public Administration & Development Practice from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. I also hold a degree in Law from National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
