When I arrived in Canada, I had no friends or authentic support. The only guidance I had came from a few YouTubers, and I wasn’t sure if their experiences were reliable. I had no idea what challenges lay ahead. In those uncertain moments, I made a promise to myself: once I figured it out, I would share my journey to help others. Now, as a Student Life Representative and Student Ambassador at Conestoga College, I fulfil that promise by creating spaces for others to find the support and community they need. I organize events, foster student engagement, and advocate for inclusion and diversity. I want to be the authentic resource that I once searched for, helping others navigate the complexities of life in a new country.
