I'm Atul — currently doing my Master's in Data Science for Public Policy at the Hertie School in Berlin, and working as a Research Associate at the Hertie Data Science Lab. Before this, I spent 3+ years as a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, working under Esther Duflo, Abhijit Banerjee, and M.R. Sharan, plus earlier roles at IFMR, Aga Khan Foundation, and Sustainable Insights. I also hold a Master's in Development Studies from TISS Hyderabad. On the technical side, I work with R, Stata, Python, and Git for data and policy research. Alongside my Master's, I've been documenting my own international student journey in Germany — job hunting, apartment hunting, visa rules, all of it — on YouTube and Instagram, which is why so many students started reaching out for advice directly.
