Dr Asra Aslam (recipient of 5 International Awards) is Assistant Professor of Data Science and AI at University of Sheffield (World ranking under 100 Times Higher Education), UK. Previously, She worked as Research Fellow at University of Leeds (UoL), UK and ML Lead on multi-university project (NIHR £2.8 million grant). She is Principal Investigator (PI) at Alan Turing institute, London with Industry Collaboration on “Transport for London TfL” project. She led research & development of Machine Learning models on multiple Medical Science projects, teaching AI/ML in Health Sciences department, supervising 3 masters & 2 PhD students. Her research interests are Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Smart Cities, and Health Sciences. Before joining UoL she worked in industry for 2 years (worked on 2D Computer Vision and 3D Point Cloud) as a “Machine Learning Researcher” at Manchester, UK. She completed her Ph.D. in 2021 from the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, University of Galway, Ireland. She also worked as a Lecturer for 1 year in the Dept. of Computer Engineering, AMU, India where she completed her Masters and Bachelor’s in computer science and engineering. She authored over 27 research publications in top-tier journals and leading international conferences, receiving more than 1400 citations, an H-index of 8 (Google Scholar), and a Field-Weighted Citation Impact of 5.43 (Scopus). She also serve as "Guest Editor", Area Chair, Program Committee, and on "Editorial Board" in multiple journals and international conferences.
