Fragrances have always been my first love. As a child, I was endlessly curious about the way things smelled. From fresh jasmine flowers to incense sticks during prayers, I’d spend hours just inhaling the scents around me—completely immersed in their magic. That curiosity only grew stronger with time. After college, I followed my heart into the world of perfumery. I began my journey at Takasago, where I got hands-on exposure to the intricacies of fragrance development. From there, I moved to Cavinkare, managing fragrance development for their personal care portfolio. My last stint was at Givaudan, Mumbai, where I worked as a Fragrance Evaluator (Cross Category) for 1.5 years. Today, with about 10+ years of rich experience, I lead fragrance development at VFB Enterprises, a company I co-founded to bring unique scent stories to life for Indian brands. Every day still feels like day one—there’s always something new to learn in this ever-evolving field. I have a deep interest in market trends, category insights, and creating novel, out-of-the-box fragrance themes. I also love writing creative brief descriptors and naming the fragrances we build.
