In a one-on-one session with me, we focus on understanding what’s been coming up for you more clearly. It is a conversational, talk-based process where you can bring in anything that feels important, something recent, something that keeps repeating, or something you haven’t been able to make sense of.
I tend to draw a lot from a psychodynamic approach, so we don’t just look at what is happening right now, but also the patterns, emotions, and past experiences that may be shaping it. The aim is not just to talk about problems, but to understand them more deeply.
In sessions, we explore your thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns together. I may ask questions, reflect things back to you, or help you notice connections that are not immediately obvious. At times, we might also look at earlier experiences or relationship patterns if they feel relevant.
This work is also about getting to know yourself better, especially if you’ve been feeling lost, unsure, or disconnected from who you are. It can involve exploring identity, making sense of your experiences, and building a clearer sense of self over time.
The process is collaborative. You don’t need to have everything figured out or say things in a particular way. We work through things together, at a pace that feels manageable, to build clarity, awareness, and understanding.
