Arpita Chowdhury is a dynamic journalist, writer, and media researcher with a strong background in human interest storytelling, digital journalism, and political reporting. With experience across print, digital, and broadcast media, She has covered major events, including the 2024 Indian General Elections for All India Radio. She is a regular contributer to leading publications such as EA Worldview, The Hindu, Daily Pioneer, Free Press Journal, University Observer and The College Tribune. Currently pursuing an MA in Journalism and International Affairs at University College Dublin in association with CNN Academy as the recipient of the prestigious V.V. Giri Global Excellence Scholarship. Arpita is passionate about exploring the intersection of media, literature, Arts and public discourse. Her work delves into post-truth narratives, meme culture, and the evolving role of journalism in the digital age. Arpita has trained with CNN Academy Abu Dhabi & London refining her investigative reporting and multimedia storytelling skills. Her expertise also extends to content creation, social media engagement, and brand storytelling, having successfully led digital campaigns that increased audience reach and engagement. Arpita holds a BA Honours in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, India. She also hold a Post Graduate degree in Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi, India. Driven by a commitment to impactful storytelling and media innovation, She is eager to collaborate on projects that push the boundaries of journalism, digital media, and public engagement. Her published work, "To The Soul-A Short Collection of Poems" was released at the International Book Fair 2024. Beyond journalism, She is deeply involved in social impact initiatives, advocating for youth leadership, gender equality, and digital rights. She is the founder of Jazbaat Foundation, a social impact project working to provide academic support to underserved students. As the Campaign Lead for #LetsFightCovidTogether, she spearheaded a COVID-19 relief initiative that provided verified information and aid to over 1,000 individuals. Recognized for her digital leadership and social impact work, Arpita recieved the Plan India Impact Award and Covid Sheroes Award. Her volunteer work with organizations like Girl Up (UN Foundation) and UN Volunteers reflects her dedication to inclusive education and community-driven change. As a graduate in Bharatnatyam (Indian Classical) dance, Arpita finds joy and expression in the art form.
