Government vs private: making the switch

I did major types of Executive Government Jobs - State PCS, Maharatna PSUs, UPSC Engineering Services. Then MBA from IIM Ahmedbad and moved to Private Sector

For anyone standing at the crossing, in either direction. I’ve made this switch myself after ten years, with a family, so I know what it costs on both sides. We’ll go through your reasons, what you’d be giving up, what the other side actually looks like day to day, and whether the timing works. I’m not here to push you either way — for plenty of people, staying put is the right answer.
