Arnold Chan is a highly motivated, adaptable and self-driven multi-skilled engineer with extensive experience in the private, public sectors and NGOs. He has excellent problem-solving skills and can analyze data and information logically. Arnold is dedicated and meticulous in proposing, planning, implementing, and reviewing technical solutions in radio and satellite communications, cloud, voice\video\collaboration and security products.
Arnold is passionate about security, personally and professionally, and is currently focused on defensive security measures. Over the past twenty plus years, he has developed the ability to think and work productively under pressure. He constantly seeks opportunities to learn new skills that will keep the organisation secure.
Arnold's current cybersecurity expertise and capabilities include:
- Implementing security controls in various technical environments as per ASD's Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protected Security Policy Framework (PSPF), as well as familiarity with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, GDPR, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND, RE&CT, ENGAGE & ATLAS frameworks
- Implementing, managing, and driving security engineering and architecture efforts for infrastructure, including firewall, VPN, proxy, WAF, IDS/IPS, NSM, FIM, ESM, ASM, DLP, SIEM, MDM, EDR, NDR, SOAR, Honeypot, TIP, CloudSec, in-depth working knowledge of China GFW
- Experience in penetration testing, vulnerability and wireless assessments (including design, architecture, infrastructure, and configuration review), CTI, DFIR, TTX, adversary emulation, purple teaming and privacy engineering
