Testimonials
Great coach that provided valuable industry knowledge and experience! Really helped with preparedness and confidence going into my interviews
Apurvaa provided detailed and concrete recommendations to improve my resume and shared high level insights based on her significant tech industry experience. I appreciate that she read my resume beforehand and asked me what specific concerns I had beforehand. She came prepared. Thank you Apurvaa!
Thanks Apurvaa! The session was helpful and insightful. I came away knowing a lot more and better preparation tips.
Very informative insights given by Apurva, in fact some points raised by her were missed by me, this call was definitely worth it.

About me
7+ years of work experience in data science in a number of tech companies. Moved from India to Singapore for undergrad and then US for Masters.
I am interested in helping organizations and people improve their decision-making process through data. I currently work in ads data science at Spotify. Prior to Spotify, I worked at Instacart and Amazon, in several areas such as supply chain, strategy, experimentation, causal inference and product analytics. I enjoy mentoring and discussing topics such as career development, overcoming imposter syndrome, interview prep, immigration to the US, etc.
I started my career as a software engineer in Singapore and then transitioned to a data science role at Amazon (Seattle) after completing my MS degree from Northwestern University (Evanston). I believe that the ability to translate ambiguous business problems to structured data science questions is one of the most important skills a good data scientist has. I'm also comfortable building data pipelines, writing code to productionize models, and consider myself a full-stack data scientist.
I have had the opportunity to speak at conferences (and am happy to help if you're interested in becoming a conference speaker) such as:
1. Women in Data Science Puget Sound (WIDS'21): Talk on Causal Inference
2. Interview with YouTube channel CodeBasics: My Data Science journey and learnings
3. WIDS'22: Talk on Data Literacy
4. Data Innovators Conference Panelist: Innovative Approaches to Data Science
5. WIDS'23: Talk on accelerating A/B testing
- Outstanding coach, well-prepared, strategic insights, efficient, highly recommended.AI-generated based on testimonials
