The complete unofficial study kit for the IAPP Certified AI Specialist – Legal: a 550-page book and a 75-page practice and mock exams volume, by Mumbai lawyer Apoorva Sharma.
This AISL exam prep kit is an unofficial study guide and practice package for the IAPP Certified AI Specialist – Legal (AISL), written by Mumbai-based lawyer Apoorva Sharma and based on the IAPP's draft Body of Knowledge. It combines a 550-page book mapped to all 84 draft performance indicators with a 75-page practice volume: a 150-question chapter bank and two 50-question mock exams, every answer explained with a reference to the relevant chapter.
The IAPP announced the AISL certification on 8 October 2026 as part of its AI in Legal Services initiative; its web page says training and certification launch in January 2027. Only a draft Body of Knowledge (four domains, 16 competencies, 84 performance indicators) had been published as at 10 October 2026. The examination's length, format, weightings and fee had not been announced, so the mocks are practice tools, not replicas of the real examination.
Read a chapter, answer its five check questions, then its bank questions. Sit Mock 1 after finishing the book, review every explanation, revisit weak chapters, then sit Mock 2 in the final week.
