One of my first memories of school is going to the PTA meeting and having my teachers tell my parents: "Apoorva is definitely an all rounder but also the most talkative student in the class. No matter where we move her seating in the class, she communicates with everyone!". Throughout my life - be it as a child, student or a working professional, I have been able to communicate and empathise with people I interact with. From enrolling for elocution competitions at school, debate team in college, to working in various roles in my career has allowed me to utilise this skill; I've learnt that clear and assertive communication is the core of any successful leader or business. My aptitude for physics and math, specifically calculus and probability theory led me to pursue engineering sciences in my undergraduate. Nothing gives me more dopamine than solving a math equation or applying my analytical skills in solving real life problems , both in my personal and profession spheres of life. I am currently working for Bharat Petroleum. I've had the opportunity to work in diverse job roles involving engineering and maintenance, construction, operations management, HSE and currently, I am working as the Location Incharge of BPCL Cannanore Terminal. I am passionate about dancing, specifically Indian classical and folk arts. I have undergone formal training in Bharatnatyam and Indian Folk Dance, under the tutelage of Vidushi Dr Suparna Venkatesh. I have also obtained training in Carnatic (Indian Classical) Music. Quite recently, I have added cooking to my list of hobbies. I also involve in content writing and report writing during leisure. I like catch up on some reading in any form- articles, books, stories. I derive a lot of joy out of helping people. I volunteer as a Guidance Counsellor and Instructor at Team Everest NGO, where we enable young aspirants belonging to EWS to develop and achieve their dreams. I am involved in offering career guidance, teaching english and life skills to the beneficiaries of the NGO. I'm one of the nicest people you will ever meet, unless you give me a reason not to be.
