About me

Antara Buzarbaruah identifies herself as an intersectional feminist with a sociological lens and is passionate about her work with adolescent girls, survivors of gender based violence and children. She has over ten years of experience in program and project implementation and partnership building for collective action. She has led research and advocacy projects on women and children in internally displaced areas in India, and women surviving sexual harassment in workplaces and public spaces. She has anchored, and built safe spaces for dialogues in the tea estates of Assam while mentoring and building peer leaders in the same. She believes that collective social action can create a larger social change. She finds herself the most content, when she facilitates dialogue or curates gender sensitivity, and prevention of gender based violence modules addressing the various intersectional factors towards social change.
