Most CVs don't fail because of weak experience. They fail because of the wrong frame, the wrong language, and a system that wasn't built for how hiring actually works in 2025-26.
This is the operating system I built — and used — during a 6-month job hunt in London (Oct 2025 - March 2026) after a 3-year career break. IIMA grad. Ex-Strategy& (Booz & Co / PwC) and Deloitte. Start-up experience. Re-entering the UK market from scratch, competing against people who'd never left.
It worked. Multiple interviews. An offer I wanted. More importantly, it gave me insights into how you need to create a CV that talks to both machines + humans.
What this is
Not a template. A decision system — for selecting, framing and compressing your experience into high-signal, role-specific narratives that pass ATS filters and land interviews.
Nine parts. Fully written. Opinionated throughout.
What's inside:
— Why most CVs fail before a human reads them (and what to fix first)
— Step Zero: how to define your positioning before writing a word — the step every other guide skips
— The section-by-section AI method: exact prompts, exact sequence, exact constraints
— The Constraint System: the rules that prevent AI from producing generic output
— The Iteration Loop: three named passes, with prompts for each — because one draft is never a CV
— The Judgement Layer: how to recognise a strong bullet vs a weak one, how to make prioritisation decisions, common failure modes, when to stop
— The Three-CV Proof: same 10-year career, three completely different CVs — annotated to show exactly what changed and why
— The Template: opinionated placeholder text for every section, plus a final submission checklist
Who this is for
Anyone who's applying for a role online! Fresh grads navigating the UK, US, India or international job market. Career pivoters. Sabbatical returners. Job hunters of London based roles. Anyone who's been out of the job hunt for a few years and is re-entering a market that's moved on. MBA, Tech, Law - basically any discipline cause the fundamentals are the same!
If you've sent applications and heard nothing — this is probably why. And this fixes it.
What this is not
Generic advice you can find anywhere. Everything in here is earned — through months of iteration, real applications, and a process that was refined until it worked.
Note for students / fresh grads with an internship or two: honestly: the positioning mechanic needs a few different possible framings of a career to choose between, which a thin CV usually doesn't have yet; the ATS rules, constraint system and iteration loop still apply broadly; if unsure, message first.
Priced at the cost of a coffee and a cake - which you'll owe me once you get your calls! Because good things shouldn't be gatekept — but they shouldn't be free either. :)
