A Comprehensive Guide to Research (Beginners)

Are you passionate about discovering new ideas but not sure how to start your research journey? This course is designed specifically for young undergraduates like you who are eager to dive into the world of research but might feel a bit overwhelmed by where to begin.

In this course, we'll cover everything from understanding basic research concepts to developing the skills to conduct your research with confidence. You’ll learn how to formulate research questions, choose the right methods, and navigate the process of organizing and presenting your findings. It’s the perfect starting point for anyone excited about turning curiosity into meaningful work.

I bring my own experiences as a first-generation learner who has received offer letters from institutions like the University of Oxford, IIT-Delhi, and SOAS. Along the way, I’ve been published in the well-known Indian journal Economic and Political Weekly in my second year of my undergraduate programme like EPW as well as media outlets such as the Caravan, Himal Southasian, and the Indian Express, among other national and international media outlets. I’ve also worked on cutting-edge projects around urban climate action and mobility.

But I’ve been where you are now! I remember the excitement of wanting to research something but not knowing how to get started. Today, I have one paper published as a book chapter, with two more in the pipeline, and three more papers accepted by Routledge journals. And in this course, I’ll share everything I’ve learned to help you succeed.
