Stand out in the competitive world of UK postgraduate admissions with a CV or resume that showcases your unique achievements and potential. This course is specifically designed to help you refine and perfect your application materials, ensuring they resonate with admissions committees at prestigious institutions like the London School of Economics, SOAS, IIT-Delhi, and the University of Oxford.
As a first-generation learner who has successfully gained admission to these top universities, I bring a deep understanding of what makes a CV compelling in the eyes of UK admissions panels. My experience spans a variety of roles, including working as a research assistant on a project by the University of Chicago and IIT-Delhi that focused on bicycling and urban mobility in Delhi and interned at IIIT-Delhi where I looked at parking and urban space in different neighbourhoods of Delhi.
Currently, I am a research intern at a leading social science collective that bridges the gap between new knowledge, public policy, and societal action. My work focuses on multidisciplinary research exploring the complex interplay between technology, society, and sustainability. Specifically, I research urban climate action strategies developed in India and assist in producing knowledge products such as issue briefs that inform policy and practice.
In addition to these roles, my work has been published in renowned publications such as EPW, The Caravan, The Indian Express, and Himal Southasian, which adds another layer of expertise in presenting and communicating complex ideas effectively.
In this course, you will learn:
- How to structure and format your CV/resume to meet the expectations of UK postgraduate programmes.
- Techniques for highlighting your academic, professional, and research experiences, including any internships or assistantships.
