Hi there! I come from a small town in Punjab, where the dream of going abroad was almost everyone's ambition. But for me, the idea of being far from home felt too overwhelming—I get homesick easily, and deep down, I knew it wasn't the right path for me. While many of my friends set off to explore new countries after school, I chose to stay behind and carve my own journey. My family was my rock throughout it all. They did everything they could to support me—whether it was dedicating their weekends to take me to distant relatives who could offer career advice, or hyping me up before any interview. Their unwavering belief in me made all the difference. Thanks to their love and encouragement, I eventually made it into one of the most prestigious B-schools in India, becoming the first post-graduate in my family. It hasn’t been an easy road, but the sense of fulfillment in following my own path, with their support, is something I’ll always cherish. Fast forward, I’ve built a career as an HR professional over the past 6 years. I started as an HR Partner with IBM, took an internal movement as TA partner and later transitioned into the dynamic world of startups as an HRBP, solving impactful problems at PhonePe and now Meesho.
