I am a UK-based dentist and cancer researcher with a strong interest in mentoring students and early-career professionals who are trying to find clarity in their academic and professional journey. My background is in dentistry (from India) and a master's in cancer and clinical oncology from the UK. Over time I have expanded my career into biomedical and translational cancer research in the UK. Through this journey, I have experienced both the clinical and academic sides of healthcare, which has given me a broader understanding of the opportunities and challenges students often face when considering careers in dentistry, medicine, research, and higher studies. As someone who has personally navigated studying, adapting to a new environment, and building a path in the UK, I understand how confusing and overwhelming these decisions can feel.
