As a PhD in History scholar at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles, you won't be talking to someone who doesn't know what you want to do. I didn't come from some big shot university, but rather I was the first person from my college's history department to land a PhD abroad. So, you'll not only be learning from someone who has traversed this path alone, but from a pioneer as well.
