Product interviews are the toughest in every sense across industries as they can get as specific as they could remain generic. A product management isn't just about managing a product but its more to do with perspectives, thought process & most importantly personal insights. A hiring manager or the panel would always want to understand how insightful a candidate is in terms of one's own understanding of the process of developing a product, the method behind the madness & the necessary science to accomplish the purpose.

So, in short, it's always recommended to sit through the interview process once before putting yourself through it for the simple reason that you usually fail not because you aren't good at it, but you weren't prepared for it.
