As an Engineering Manager Leader in Grab, Amit Kashyap played a key role in addressing various problem spaces within the Payments domain, such as reducing payment cost of funds (COF), improving checkout experiences for internal merchants, and enabling payments in growth areas. He manages a team of 12+ software engineers from different backgrounds like mobile, back end, QA. Amit collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, analytics experts, and other engineering managers. As a Senior Software Engineer at Grab, Amit is passionate about enhancing the customer payment journey from “Scan” to “Payment Success.” With their expertise in Payments, Amit has contributed to the development of a robust and intuitive platform that minimises the number of clicks and ensures speedy API calls and efficient scanning libraries. Amit has also worked on an online Microsite that enables merchants to onboard independently and customers to discover GrabPay online merchants. Amit has a strong background in Geo, having redesigned the search experience for various business verticals, including Transport, Food, and Express, while working in Grab's Geo team. Amit also has a keen interest in Animation and has demonstrated their creativity and skills by developing an animation for the F1 event in Singapore. Amit holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology and has multiple honors and certifications, including the CEO Award Grab, the Grab Way Award (give to top 5%), the Indian Oil Scholar 2011, and the School Topper.
