Ami has had a passion for public speaking and communication since childhood. Despite being a last bencher in school, Ami always wanted to share her knowledge and help people communicate better. After working as a customer service representative for a BPO and doing sales and marketing in her early career, Ami realized communication was the key to success. She started working as a trainer for a small HR company and then did freelance corporate training until 2007. She was later hired by Accenture as the only graduate among all MBA trainers, and delivered a variety of soft skills training programs across India. After getting married, Ami moved to China where she spent a decade teaching English as a Second Language to Chinese students. She was a director and trainer for British interns at an IELTS school and gained popularity as a successful teacher despite facing racism. In 2017, Ami returned to India and started her own company called speakwithAmee. Ami faced tough competition in the corporate training field and being a new mother, she was hesitant about her new venture. However, joining a Toastmasters club and winning a speech contest gave her the confidence to train others in communication, soft skills, and public speaking. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and Ami became active on LinkedIn, offering her services to corporate clients for free. This led to her gaining popularity and eventually paid work. Ami is passionate about public speaking, communication, and soft skills training, and is motivated by feedback from her clients, money, and the demand in this field. She loves to share her knowledge and make others speak with confidence. However, Ami struggles with maintaining a steady stream of work, which can be emotionally difficult. Ami's brand values are to help leaders, individuals, and organizations (especially from the IT sector) achieve their goals in improving their communication skills. Her brand communicates empowerment to individuals to improve their communication and soft skills, which can lead to personal and professional growth. Ami provides personalized communication coaching and soft skills training services to IT professionals, different corporates, and individuals. Her target audience includes IT professionals, engineers, and any individual or corporate facing communication challenges.
