I hold a total of 6+ years of professional experience and it still feels like I'm getting started.

I've experimented so much with my career that I know a lot about what it takes to break into a new role or company and more importantly, what NOT TO do while attempting it. Now, I want to help others using my experiences so that they don't make the same mistakes that I did.

Some highlights of the my career till now:

  1. Started as a software engineer with a US MNC. Worked as a QA despite the stigma about its scope
  2. Attempted CAT. Thrice. 98.65 -> 98.99 -> 99.53. I know what it takes to make your mind for one more attempt. Never got a BLACKI call though!
  3. Got into MDI Gurgaon. COVID hit during my MBA. 75% of it was online. Miraculously, got to experience Europe as part of my exchange program!
  4. Interned with a leading FMCG company with a marketing project. Designed a GTM strategy without ever visiting the market due to COVID restrictions? Got a PPO.
  5. Started with the FMCG company as a Full time employee. Was assigned to learn and manage sales. Didn't like it. Quit within 10 months
  6. Sat unemployed for 3 months less than a year after completing a Tier 1 MBA, trying to break into Product Management. (Hiring market was very bad in 2022!)
  7. Joined an early stage startup in the automotive space at a lower salary than Asian Paints in a CEO's office role. Was worth it as I got to work with seasoned industry leaders daily on company strategy.
  8. Got a call from one of the most prestigious companies for Product Management 6 months into my stint there. Switched into Product Management with no prior experience in the field!
  9. Had impostor's syndrome for the longest time being a Product Manager, in a brand new industry. Learnt to tackle it.

These are just the highlights. There is so much more that life has thrown at me. But I persevere and keep learning
