Amar has graduated from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College (Autonomous), Narendrapur, securing first class first in B. A English Honors, and is currently pursuing Masters in English from Presidency University, Kolkata. His areas of research interest include memory studies, Holocaust literature, Shakespeare and selfhood-studies, and he has numerous presentations and publications in these areas. He had actively participated in debates during his school years, and had succeeded in bagging several 'best speaker' awards. His ability to coordinate with others and take the charge when required has also been reflected in the multiple positions of responsibility he has been offered in his college life.
