About me

Albin currently serves as an Investment Banking Associate at Bentley Associates LP in New York City. He has diverse industry experience having worked on a myriad of middle-market M&A and capital-raise engagements alongside senior investment bankers across sectors including industrials, consumer, technology, media, and hospitality. Albin honed his cross-border deal origination and evaluation skills during his tenure as an Analyst at Aurigin Inc., where he sourced deals for large corporate houses and PE firms in both the US and Asia. Additionally, he employed Aurigin’s M&A matching technology to pioneer a proof of concept for a new invoice financing product targeted at hedge fund clients. Albin has supported deals with a cumulative transaction value of ~$700M+. Prior to joining Bentley, Albin served as a Portfolio Analyst at Ballentine Partners, a Boston-based multi-family office with ~$10Bn+ in AUM. There, he supported senior investment advisors in managing portfolios totaling ~$800M+ in AUM across 10+ family office relationships, investing in global multi-asset class strategies. His client base at Ballentine included families with generational wealth, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives with public market exposure, for whom he crafted and executed bespoke investment solutions. Albin holds an undergraduate degree in International Finance from Christ University, Bangalore, and a Master’s in Finance from Simon Business School at the University of Rochester. In addition to his academic qualifications, he is a Registered Investment Adviser with a Series 65 license and has passed the CFA Level 1 exam. Outside of his professional life, Albin volunteers his time for K-12 career coaching and guidance on graduate school applications. He also plays an active role in assisting first-time founders through the Ain Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Rochester. In his free time, Albin enjoys exploring the intersections of markets, technology, and psychology; motorbiking on winding roads, listening to EDM and rock music, experimenting with fusion cooking, and cheering for the Indian cricket team and Manchester United.
