I'm Ana Almeida, a biologist, a mother, and a researcher. I have worked in academia, regulatory agencies, the consultancy business, and the R&D industry. I was born in Brazil and have been living and working in multiple European countries ever since. Spain, Ireland, Germany, and occasionally Italy have been my home since 2007. My work with environmental causes matters a lot to me, as well as caring for others so they can thrive. I'm a trained microbiologist with a special focus on antimicrobial resistance and environmental contamination. I've had the privilege to work within dream teams and projects in clean energy production, business, commercialization of research, and science communication. I have a track record of contributing to nature and fellow human beings that allows me to sleep peacefully at night.
