I am in the business of creative story telling. As a natural raconteur, I am passionate about telling stories through print, through broadcast, through social media or through brands by ways of a creative campaign to help companies with strategic communications, crisis communications, and leveraging their strengths to get the message out. I am a Visiting Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF). I am also a public policy and government affairs professional and was previously, a consultant with the World Bank in Washington D.C. I can immediate value to your company in strategic communications, government relations and public affairs. As a journalist and a communications professional by profession, I was based in Singapore for seven years, four of which as a reporter and producer with MediaCorp’s Channel News Asia covering foreign policy and international business news. I reported extensively on investor sentiment, tech trends, Fortune 500 companies, startups and interviewed Singaporean policymakers and visiting foreign dignitaries. My career began in Singapore with ESPN STAR Sports, where I worked as a sports producer and programming executive. My foray into the world of sports broadcasting began after I finished in the quarter-finals of a pan-India talent hunt (Dream Job) for the next sports broadcasting face of ESPN STAR Sports. As a writer, I have written on diverse topics such as geopolitics, business, tech, culture and sports and have published articles for outlets such as The Diplomat, The National Interest, the Observer Research Foundation, FirstPost, MoneyControl, The Quint and ThePrint. I am a two-time TEDx speaker (Singapore and the United States) and have been invited to moderate several panels on thought leadership at major tech conferences in Singapore and the United States. I have two master’s degrees: one in international affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a second master’s in journalism from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication in Pune, India.
