Akshay is currently working as Manager at Global Command Center at Amazon. He is part of the team which manages Brand/Customer impacting high severity events and Capacity Planning for Customer Service in North America/Asia-Pacific regions. The team drives metric adoption and process improvement to facilitate better Customer Experience. During his earlier stint at Amazon, he worked as a Site Lead for Amazon regional sortation facility located at Hyderabad. Akshay is an MBA in General Management from Class of 2016-18 at IIM Kozhikode with strong focus on Strategy and Operations. He was a member 12 student team for Corporate Relations and Placements Committee. He was involved in interactions, recruitment and onboarding of the students across 100+ corporates every season. He interned at Altisource in Consumer Debt/Mortgage role with Settlement Services team. The internship project included developing a model to predict closing timelines and improving Net Promoter Score of the company. Prior to his MBA, Akshay has worked at Coal India LTD in an ops-strategy role for 35 months. As a production manager, he strived towards improving operational efficiency, maintaining production and managing workforce ~200. Later at contract management cell, he worked on economic feasibility, bidding amount and synergy realization of contracts and outsourced project at CIL. He has cleared CAT’15(99.28%) and IITJEE 2009(AIR 5089). He is a graduate from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. He is a graduate in Mining Engineering in Class of 2013. He was involved in student driven community service, football team and held positions of responsibility at various fests. He also represented college Chess and Football teams in inter college competition.
