Many of us Engineers sitting in a B-school are slick with numbers and our ability to quickly get to a solution in a case interview, but struggle to demonstrate structure, reasoning and narrate the story behind our solution. Are you one of those candidates? Don't worry, this is definitely a skill that you can develop through practice.
The second round of most consulting interviews is the most crucial as it gives the interviewed a clear idea of whether a candidate is a consulting-fit. This assessment is generally done through a case interview that can span anywhere between 40-60 mins. The case interview process is structured to test the candidate's ability not only get to break down the problem and get to a solution but their ability to clearly narrate the recommendations. With growing competition and evolving interview methods it is important to practice as many case interviews as possible in different formats to ensure that you get through to the next step of your consulting interviews.
In this 60-minute interview session, we will solve a full-blown case study in the first 45 minutes of the session and you will receive my feedback on the solution in the concluding 15 minutes of the session.
