I’m Akshara, an immersive and UX designer with a background in architecture and a master’s in Design & Digital Media from the University of Edinburgh. My journey into design has been driven by a curiosity about how spaces and interfaces can influence the way people feel, think, and interact. During my master’s, I explored installation and experience design through projects like a digital calming room and an experimental installation using LiDAR data. These experiences helped me understand the power of combining storytelling, technology, and spatial design to create meaningful and engaging environments. Professionally, I’ve worked across different roles that allowed me to take on multidisciplinary responsibilities, including concept development, visual design, and client interaction. This exposure has shaped me into a designer who is adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable working across both digital and physical mediums. I’m particularly interested in creating human-centered experiences that evoke emotion—whether through UX design, interactive installations, or emerging technologies. I enjoy exploring new ideas, experimenting with different mediums, and continuously learning. I’m always open to conversations, collaborations, and opportunities that push creative boundaries.
