From India to UX Designer in Copenhagen
About me
I’m not a mentor or a guru — just someone who’s been through the messy parts of figuring out life and work in Denmark, and I’m happy to share what I’ve learned along the way.
When I moved to Copenhagen in 2022, I had no network and no clear roadmap. I ended up applying to more than 1,950 jobs (yes, really 😅) before getting my first job in Denmark. A huge turning point for me was getting into ReDI School, which is tough to get into because of the limited spots. That led to an internship at Danske Bank, and within 5 months, I was offered a full-time UX Designer role.
My path hasn’t been straightforward. I studied Mass Communication & Journalism for my bachelor’s and later did a Master’s in New Media Production & Multimedia Design. In between, I tried different courses, kept learning and stumbled my way forward until things started to click.
If you’re trying to build a career or settle down in Denmark — whether it’s job hunting, navigating rejections or just figuring out how things work here — I know how isolating it can feel. Sometimes talking to someone who’s been through it makes it a little easier.
